Loma Alta

Jam Band - Fairfax, CA

From the southern slopes of Loma Alta Open Space Preserve in the Heart of Marin County comes a funky and danceable original Jam Band.

The collective minds of Chris Detrick (guitar) and Jared Baird--AKA Harold Imperiled-- (drums) have created a band that delivers deep dance grooves, adventurous group improvisations, and huge peaks in the spirit of Phish, the Dead, the Talking Heads, and Santana.

With a regular Third Thursday residency at the legendary Peri's Tavern in Fairfax for the last year and a half, the band has dazzled crowds while exploring extended jams and clever segues between songs beloved by the Marin Jam Band community.

With the culmination of the Grateful Dead's 60th anniversary celebration in Golden Gate Park, and an epic show at SF's Neck of the Woods, the band has pivoted to a deep catalogue of original material.

To deliver its tight and funk arrangements, the band has gown to include JP Salvat on percussion, Julia Chanin on Sax and vocals, Eric Inersoll on keys, Tommy O'Mahony on bass, and Timmy Stabler on anything and everything.

Now, Loma Alta can be found throughout the Bay Area, sharing in the groove.
